Pilates works by strengthening from the inside out. The basic principles of Pilates, like neutral spine, shoulder stability, using your abs to support your spine and upper body will help you to improve your strength while at the same time releasing those aches and pains caused by our modern day lives. Mat based exercises, with use of props, engage the stomach muscles, the neck and shoulder muscles, lower back muscles, pelvis and hip muscles.
